Why childcare employee screening matters

Families trust you with their children. One wrong hire can damage that trust, your reputation and even safety. EmploCheck gives you structured insights before you add someone to your team.

Protect the children in your care

See how previous employers rated a candidate’s patience, behavior with kids and ability to follow safety rules – not just what’s written in a generic reference.

Spot red flags early

Attendance issues, boundary problems, unprofessional communication – many things never appear in formal letters, but can be documented in EmploCheck.

Fair & structured feedback

Ratings are based on standardized criteria. Strong performers can stand out, while concerns can be flagged in a factual, professional way.

What childcare employers can rate

EmploCheck focuses on real behavior at work – not private opinions. You rate only what you have experienced as an employer or manager.

Interaction with children
Teamwork with other staff
Punctuality & reliability
Hygiene & safety standards
Communication with parents
Willingness to learn & train
Attitude & professionalism
Documented incidents or warnings
Extra effort & positive contributions

How EmploCheck works for daycare & childcare centers

Designed to fit into your hiring process with minimal effort. You stay in control of all information you enter.

1

Create your free employer account

Register your daycare, preschool or childcare center as a verified employer. Only verified businesses can submit or view detailed ratings.

2

Rate former or current employees

Use our structured form to document performance, conduct and reliability. Ratings are stored securely and are never publicly visible.

3

Use scores in your hiring decisions

Over time, more childcare providers contribute data. From 2026 onward, verified employers can use employer scores as an additional signal when hiring.

Childcare & daycare – frequently asked questions

A few of the most common questions from childcare providers who are starting with EmploCheck.

Is EmploCheck a replacement for official background checks?

No. EmploCheck does not replace legal background checks, fingerprinting or any state-required screening. It is an additional employer-to-employer insight tool that focuses on work behavior, reliability and professionalism.

Can parents see these ratings?

No. Ratings are only visible to verified employer accounts (for example daycare centers, preschools or childcare organizations). They are never public and are not shared with parents or the general public.

What does it cost to rate employees?

Rating your employees on EmploCheck is currently free of charge. You only need to create a verified employer account to submit structured feedback.

When will I be able to see employer scores for applicants?

Viewing detailed employer scores is planned for 2026. Until then, we are building a strong, high-quality database of ratings from responsible employers like you.

Is the data compliant with privacy and data protection laws?

EmploCheck is designed with privacy by design. Only factual, work-related evaluations are allowed, and access is restricted to verified businesses. We do not allow hate, discrimination or private accusations that cannot be documented.
